Not that anyone cares much, but I have fun with these. Here we go...
Write out the names of your characters and explain:
1) how you thought of their name
2) what made you create the character in the first place
3) how the character has changed over time (if they have changed)
4) any random fun fact about that character
Cyreph
1) Okay, Cyph started off as a wolf! (6th grade lol) and I thought I would be a cool kid and pick a random word out of the dictionary for him. So I chose the word cipher, because he was a special code deciphering wolf, but to make it even cooler I used the alternative spelling of cipher, and thus, Cypher. Ok then a few years ago (not sure exactly when, maybe about 4 years ago) I decided that I was going to change a whole bunch of my animal characters into humans, and sometime later I felt that Cyph had changed so much by this time that a new name was in order. However, I was still really attached to his name, so I just rearranged the last 4 letters and viola, the pretty weird name Cyreph was born. I also gave him the last name Barrack, but now I'm gonna change it because it reminds everyone of Barack Obama lol.
2) Like I said, Cyph was first created back in 6th grade. At that time I just found out rping which I thought was so cool! and I wanted a wolf character like every other person out there had. So I made Cyph, because I wanted to be a cool kid and have a gary-stu wolf too. AND THUS CYPH WAS BORN
3)Cyph has changed a ton. Wall of text time. Being the total little loser I was gary-stu wolf Cyph's pack was special and they were all white with black markings and like I said could do stuff like decoding and encrypting messages and cool spy stuff!! Cyph also had a best friend whom he was destined to fall in love with and she was special and all white. His parents were the alphas and were all cool and strong, but died in a tragic accident which left Cyph's really terrible uncle to assume alpha position and Cyph and his lady friend ran off to join another pack because they hated him, but they got separted and Cyph's life was filled with even more angst. I really hope you're laughing right now, because I am. I even have this written down in a little journal somewhere, it's great. Okay then I got into Wolf's rain and decided that wolves turning into people was awesome, and I referenced off of Riku's hair style and made Cyph a human form and messed around with a story for that sort of thing for awhile. Eventually I just scrapped the whole thing altogether like I said because it was all so horrifically stupid and I turned everyone from Cyph's story (except the special girl wulf) and made them into people and gave them flawed and plausible personalities and went from there. Now Cyph still has a kinda emo past, I kept that both of his parents died and that he had to live with his uncle, but I kept it reasonable, no more endless angst. He's always had his little wind powers though.
4) Fun facts! Cyph grew up with his elder cousin and looked up to him as a role model, he gained a lot of his interests (like music) from him. Also I drew Cyph being hugged by his bff Eva today on my bio notes. His favorite kind of ice cream is chocolate.
Imber
1) Imber's name originated from when I would constantly go on quizilla and do those story type quizzes. I was reading one at the time where they used quite a few latin words for character names and Imber was one of them and I fell in love with the name, but not the character they used it for, so I stole it for my own, lol.
2) At the time I really wanted a canid/dragon character. While I was on the bus I was just starting out the window and the designs for both Imber and another character, Sol came to me. They were both total opposites, so me and my big latin crush thought the names Imber and Sol were perfect for them.
3) Imber's gone through quite a few changes. For one, I also changed Imber from being an animal into being a human the same way I did with Cyph, and they're both in the same story now. His personality's remained the same and his general likes/dislikes, but his backstory has changed quite a bit as I totally had to reformat it to work with the story. Also, when I first included him into the story he also had actual spikes growing out of his neck because he was supposed to be a guardian of sorts hiding in with the general populace. Now he's normal, haha.
4) Okay, maybe not completely normal. Imber also has elemental powers like Cyph (stoorrmmm). Imber's favorite food is vanilla tootsie rolls, he loooovvesss them. Imber happens to be a physics buff and is my favorite to draw. His favorite kind of ice cream is vanilla.
Mango
1) fft Mango was my first character and created during the random Japanese words make for the best names! stage, so I dubbed her Mangetsu because it means full moon. I really want to change her name to at least what the appropriate Japanese name would be for her, Mizuki, but being my very first ever I find myself hard pressed to mess with it.
2) Mango was created to be the bff of my self insert YYH character, and was originally some wolf/fox demon/spirit..thing. I am such a cool kid.
3) Mango has changed a lot design wise. Originally she was just a really plain fox/wolf cross whom for some reason started off orange as a baby. I had a really had time settling on a design for her back in the day. At one time she was white and I would keep switching back and forth between orange and grey for her. After crax rping with ~
Fox-Demon-Shikaru for awhile I made her a human form, whom somehow fought in a kimono. I eventually got sick of her design and backstory and revamped them a ton, but I never really do much with her because her type of backstory doesn't interest me as much as it used to. At some point in there I decided on orange for her and since then I update her design every now and then. Her personality hasn't had too many drastic changes, luckily for her my self-insert was the mary-sue, not Mango.
4) Mango is one of those characters whom I'm attached too much to get rid of. Who knows, maybe I'll do something with her someday. She fails at life. Her favorite kind of ice cream is Mango flavored.
Eva
1) I needed a name, so I asked my mom what other names she might have named me were, and one of them was Eva. I kinda regret this now, I think this name is super pretty and I would really consider using this name for a possible daughter's name but now I have wasted it on a character. sob.
2) On the day I created Eva I had a science project due and I had just bought this new top that I loved. The top was reversible, but the reversed side didn't look quite as nice as the main side, so I doodled a girl wearing a nicer looking version of the reversed side to keep me awake as the early hours of the morning rolled around and I was finishing this science (...oh wait maybe it was art) project.
3) Eva went through lots of color schemes until I found one that I liked for her. I went from orange hair + dull purple eyes to red hair and and blue eyes. I was going to keep her this way, but I wanted to include her in the story with Cyph and Imber and they both had blue eyes, so I then settled on blonde hair + bright violet eyes. I think that combination is super pretty and I draw her way too much because of this. As far as personality goes, she's always been the same.
4) Welllll, let's see. Uh, Eva has realy good vision and she's really accurate with a pistol. I also noticed that she's almost like a combination of two characters that I got rid of at around the same time I created her. Eva's also a big nerd and really likes science and constantly shows up on my natural science notes. Her favorite flavor of ice cream in mint chocolate chip.
Xera
1) Okay, well she and Cyph both originate from the same city so I decided on staying with the weird name thing.
2) Xera was made because my bffs where playing ddr and I was watching the video for DoLL and saw a girl with pink hair who looked like a totally pansy, so I decided to make an at least slightly tougher pink haired chick. And so.
3) Xera hasn't changed too much, her hairstyle has changed just slightly but she wears it a few ways anyway. I've added more to what her personality's going to be like when she's older, gave her some addictive tendencies. Generally she's just a pink haired, brown eyed high energy, competition and fun loving girl.
4) Xera loves video games. She's pretty spoiled. She likes fruit flavored ice creams and generally prefers non-dairy frozen treats.
Arros
1) I was trying to come up with a name for him and my sister and I were being silly and we decided on this.
2) In my story with Cyph, Imber, Eva, and Xera I wanted a 5th main character from my 3rd city, Sol as I didn't have a character from there yet (Cyph/Xera-Nox, Imber/Eva-Crepusculum).
3) Arros changed very little after the first few days in which I came up with him. When I first drew him his hair was longer and not fohawk like, but I thought this looked too similar to Cyph's so the fohawk came into existence. His personality was at first going to be more naive and good natured and I wanted him to replace Cyph as the main character. However whenever I imagined him interacting with another character, Noemi the personality that he now has came through which is not naive at all. He also gained a tattoo due to my doodling in PoliSci.
4) Arros has fiyah powers. He lives with his grandma and 4 sisters (yeah I totally just upped that number right now!)and he's totally a Grandma's boy. His favorite food and desert is hola-hola and as far as ice-cream goes he likes two+ flavor combos.
Blaine
1) I liked the name Blaine straight away for him. I later realized this was because it reminded me of his firey colored hair due to Blaine the fire type gym leader. oop
2) Blaine was originally going to be a minor character, and I drew up his design to fill as the leader of a small gang of kids, but I ended up really liking him and now he plays a pretty important part.
3) Blaine was originally a total bastard back in his first minor character design but now he's more layered and fun. His skin tone and hair color also darkened and his relationships with other characters changed as I decided to like him more.
4) Blaine suffers from man PMS. He can control earth and stuff. Favorite ice cream? Pistachio.
...okay I should probably do homework now.
